You may have read my rant...I mean tirade...I mean...blog not too long ago about every day being some National "day." We have a day for everything...except a day to say how silly it is we have a day for everything.
You might also remember that last year's Pi Day seemed to take over the news. Shirts, mugs, parties...you name it. 3.14.15. Not only did we have a Pi Day, but at 9.26:53 the world stopped and celebrated. (Pi= 3.141592653).
Well, just as like life these days, we don't want this year's Pi Day to feel left out. You see, how you would "round" 3.14159? Correct! 3.14.16. Who comes up with these things? Maybe some "Millennial" who is afraid this year's Pi Day will feel left out without its participation trophy!
So, my knife is ready! I'll honor Rounded Pi Day by cutting a Banana Cream, Lemon Meringue, and Pizza pie into 3.1416 slices. ...but then will the person that gets the .1416 piece feel less than because he/she didn't get an equal slice? Oh, the dilemmas!
