Who knew today would be my lucky day? I woke up and my email told me that my horoscope says, "The universe is about to unload some serious good luck on you, but you won't know you have it until it hits! So instead of running right out and buying a thousand lottery tickets, just wait. Before the end of the day you'll be given a golden opportunity, an unexpected gift, or a chance to do something you have always wanted to do! Your good fortune can be given a real boost with a smile and flattering comment, so don't be shy about working your charm."
Well, there you have it! Believe all that your email tells you! I am thankful for three things as I read that email.
First, I am really thankful that it told me not to run out and spend thousands on lottery tickets. When I first started reading it--that was my exact thought. I have probably purchased $20 in lottery tickets in my entire life, but today, I was going to spend thousands.
Second, I wondered what opportunity it is? Mostly, I was thankful that I wasn't going to be given the opportunity to clean my house (...or anybody's house) like I had planned. After all, it says a chance to do something that I have always to do and I have cleaned before. Hmmm...maybe my pool boy will show up, clean my house, and....hmmm... I'll stop there.
Third, it tells me to "work my charm." Never really think of myself of having charm, but o.k. Actually, I wonder if that means go to the gym and work off my Lucky Charms? Hmmm...this is so confusing! But I've done that before too, so nope! So, I apparently get a day off from the gym. Whoo Hoo! ...not that I needed that permission, but I'm going with it!
Oh well. I wait with baited breath. Actually, if you are reading this, you have already helped fulfill one of my dreams of something that I never thought would happen. The ability to explore my writing about everyday life through this vehicle called a blog. Thank you!
Off to the gym and house cleaning with charm, thousands in my pocket (first, I have to find the wad of cash...hmmm....), and preparing for the pool boy! Lots to do!
